Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• BLS certification.
• Current Florida CNA license or EMT license.

Responsibilities

• Works under supervision of the professional nurse, assisting in performing specific duties and activities of daily living in caring for age specific groups.
• Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
• Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining respectful relationships.
• Assists patients with their activities of daily living including basic hygiene, skin care, nutritional and dietary needs, elimination needs, physical activity needs and comfort measures.
• Maintains respect and privacy at all times.
• Obtains and documents vital signs per unit standards and reports abnormal findings to the licensed nurse.
• Collects, reports and accurately documents intake and output information for assigned patient areas.
