About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Neuro Intermediate Care Unit is hiring a Full-Time, Day Shift, Patient Care Technician (PCT)! Join our 36-bed Neuro Intermediate Care unit that provides neuro care for stroke, seizure/epilepsy, craniology, neck and back surgery patients and more. This fast-paced, team-driven unit allows you to learn new skills and provide care to a specialized population of patients. As a Patient Care Technician with Sentara, you will have the opportunity to learn many new skills, including taking vitals, blood draws, and daily care. The primary duties include supporting the admission/discharge process, changing, bathing, and ambulating patients, drawing blood, foley catheter care, and meeting patient needs while working under the direct supervision of a nurse. Teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to provide the best care for our patients.
