Responsibilities

  • Serve adult general medical and medical oncology patients in a 72 bed unit.
  • Provide care to a diverse patient population including young adults to geriatric patients.
  • Assist in the management of patients with gastrointestinal disorders, heart or lung conditions, uncontrolled metabolic disorders, infectious processes, skin integrity disorders, neurological and circulatory impairment, kidney disease, and diabetes.
  • Support medical oncology patients and those in palliative/hospice care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or nursing school students with one semester of clinical completed.
  • CPR – Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull force up to 50 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • Phlebotomy experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program.
  • Graduate of Phlebotomy course.
