Requirements

• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
• One year of clinical experience or successful completion of the intern program.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, Medical Assistant (MA) certification, or equivalent.
• Completion of fundamental nursing skills coursework for nursing students or LPNs.
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
• BLS certification provided by AHA.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Perform various tasks as competency documentation designates.
• Communicate with internal contacts outside the work group to exchange relevant information.
• Provide factual information to external contacts.
