The successful candidate: This is a Full-time Night shift position where you will work 7p-7a, 3 days a week, including a weekend rotation. · Department: Inpatient · Organizes and manages patient care activity to support the nursing process and provision of care to the patient. Ensures the proper notification and coordination of the multidisciplinary team. · Maintains clean and orderly stations and monitor proper equipment. · Answers all call lights in a timely manner. Answers phones courteously and directs the call to appropriate personnel. · Provides support to nursing staff and other personnel in the daily activities of the unit and during emergency situations. Reports any information regarding changes in patient status or activities to the licensed nurse · Monitors heart rhythm patterns of patients in the ICU and on remote telemetry monitors to detect abnormal cardiac rhythms or changes to patient’s baseline rhythm. · Reviews patient information to determine baseline rhythm, current rhythm and any prior variables to rhythm. · Responds appropriately to all alarms and notifies licensed nurse. Measures cardiac intervals and documents. Records and documents cardiac rhythm strip per department policy.
