About The Position

The Patient Care Tech position at Evanston Hospital involves working full-time, 36 hours per week, on the night shift from 7pm to 7:30am with rotating weekends. The role requires a flow of work and character of duties that involves normal mental, visual, and auditory attention, with manual dexterity required for sustained periods. The position entails assessing patients, reading and recording patient charts, and conversing with patients and healthcare team members, which necessitates adequate visual and auditory acuity. There is potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and other hazardous materials, and the ability to work under pressure is essential. The role may require lifting up to 50 pounds in urgent situations and involves various physical activities throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the US.
• Completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (CNA) training course preferred.
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork and ability to prioritize.
