Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to work with diverse group of patients, each with unique healthcare needs
  • Need to be attentive to detail
  • Have excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assisting patients with obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights
  • Assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, accommodations as needed
  • Performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring if needed
  • Taking patient histories, preparing examination rooms, and helping with minor medical procedures like wound care, vaccinations, and blood draws, if needed
  • Observing and reporting changes in patients’ condition to the RN
  • Preparing examination rooms as needed
  • Documenting patient information and data, including vital signs, weight, height, blood pressure, and temperature
  • Preparing, organizing, and efficiently utilizing supplies and equipment
  • Maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned
