About The Position

The Patient Care Technician I at Atlantic Health System is responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in meeting the basic needs of patients. Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and nurses
• Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems

Responsibilities

• Support physicians
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, and heights
• Work as a team with co-workers, will be cross trained in various responsibilities
• Obtain test, medication and surgery insurance authorizations
• Will be trained in Surgery Scheduling
• Answer patient calls, direct appropriately, schedule appointments
• Maintain and order supplies
• Other related duties as assigned.
