DaVita is looking for a Patient Care Tech to serve our patients in the greater Savage, MN area. No experience necessary! We will train you! The home clinic will be Scotty County Dialysis Clinic in Savage, MN 55378. The candidate will float within a 20-30 minute radius until the clinic grows in census and then will have the chance to be full time at the clinic. PCTs usually work 10-12 hour shifts / 3-4 days a week. Clinics are open Monday-Saturday, shifts can start as early as 4:00 AM and end as late as 10:00 PM. Will work one Saturday a month. No work on Sundays! Paid training: DaVita offers all new dialysis teammates a robust, paid training program to help you learn the right dialysis skills. The training is a mix of classroom and hands-on training. Reimbursement for your Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license.

  • Direct Patient Care: Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment.
  • Monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
  • Educate patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
  • Work under the supervision of a RN.
  • Build long-term relationships with patients suffering from end stage renal disease.
  • Desire to enter the health care field to care for other people in need.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be comfortable working around blood and needles.
  • Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb.
  • Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet.
  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
  • Health care experience a plus including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
