About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) position at The Little Clinic is designed to enhance patient flow and ensure a stellar patient experience under the guidance of the on-duty Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The role involves a combination of administrative tasks, patient interaction, and maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment, all while adhering to company policies and core values.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and task-management skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to travel independently as needed.
  • Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize patient flow through the clinic while providing a stellar patient experience.
  • Perform administrative tasks including EMR documentation in accordance with company policy.
  • Greet customers or potential patients in the front area of the clinic.
  • Clean and organize the clinic space daily, including taking out trash and cleaning floors.
  • Answer questions while following HIPAA guidelines in the front area.
  • Utilize the Patient Care Technician PERK system for patient management.
  • Determine method of payment and describe options to patients.
  • Copy government-issued identification and insurance cards for patients.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and determine their chief complaints.
  • Complete the registration process and place patients in the appointment book for the provider.
  • Scan all appropriate documents and alert the provider if scanning is needed.
  • Collect payments and log them in the EMR system.
  • Obtain vital signs and enter data in the EMR as required.
  • Assist the provider with obtaining specimens based on patient complaints.
  • Provide guidance to waiting patients on registration, wait times, and services.
  • Answer phones and respond to questions as necessary.
  • Participate in off-site events and monthly screening events.
  • Prepare supplies for events and register patients as needed.
  • Put together weekly supply orders for provider approval.
  • Prepare packages and mail for shipping.
  • Travel to designated clinics within a specified geographic area.
