Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital is a premiere clinical and academic health system, providing expert pediatric care for infants, children and teens with some of the most challenging medical problems. With more than half of the 259 beds in our teaching hospital devoted to intensive care level services, we are the regional pediatric referral center for Florida's west coast. Physicians and community hospitals count on us to care for critically ill patients and perform complex surgical procedures. The Emergency Center at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital provides life-saving emergency care to children of all ages. As the only stand-alone Pediatric Trauma Center on the west coast of Florida, our team is dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients and their families. Our Emergency Center is a 29 bed Unit, including: - 2 Dedicated Trauma/Critical Care Rooms - 8 "Quick Kid" rooms - Designated "safe" room for mental health patients - Approximately 45,000 visits per year The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs direct patient care tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse and performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Work occasionally requires internal contacts outside the work group to exchange relevant information. Communication with external contacts involves providing or giving factual information
