About The Position

The Patient Care Technician at El Centro Regional Medical Center is responsible for providing essential patient care and clerical support within the Med/Surg department. This role requires flexibility as the technician may work as a Unit Secretary, Certified Nursing Assistant, or in a dual capacity, assisting licensed nursing staff under the supervision of a Charge Nurse or Clinical Manager. Requirements

• California Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
• Completion of a Medical Terminology class or one year of experience in a medical-related field.
• Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed nursing staff in performing basic patient care tasks.
• Perform clerical and reception functions as directed by the Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager.
• Requisition supplies, equipment, and services as needed.
• Maintain patient records and assist with documentation as required.
