Patient Care Technician (CNA) | 36 hours per week | Telemetry Unit
About The Position
This position provides basic patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, including personal care and assistance with activities of daily living. The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing routine daily nursing care and other desired services in accordance with the patient's assessment, choices, and care plan, all under the supervision of a licensed nurse, to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained. The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) will work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Maintains valid licensure/certification/registration
- Iowa Certified Nurses Aide or recent course completion and passing test scores within 4 months of hire date
Responsibilities
- Provides basic patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse
- Provides personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Provides each patient with routine daily nursing care and other desired services in accordance with the patient's assessment, choices and care plan under the supervision of a licensed nurse to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained at all times
- Will work with a multidisciplinary team
