About The Position

Overlake Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician/CNA for its Critical Care Department. This 31-bed unit specializes in open heart/thoracic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, pulmonary, and general medical surgical. The department encourages teamwork, patient advocacy, and self-care, and has been a recipient of AACN's Silver Beacon Award of Excellence. The medical center is a 349-bed, nonprofit regional medical center serving the Puget Sound region, employing nearly 3,000 people and approximately 1,000 active and courtesy providers. It was the first Level III Trauma Center on the Eastside and is known for providing award-winning, compassionate, and patient-centered care. Overlake was started by community volunteers and continues to depend on them. This is a PER DIEM 12-Hour position, requiring five 12-hour shifts in a 4-week period, including two weekend shifts.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience
• Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C)
• Medical Assistant Registration (MA-R) (Overlake Hospital will sponsor this licensure after hire)
• Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers Certification (BLS)
• Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
• Proof of full COVID-19 immunization (required after October 18, 2021)

Nice To Haves
