About The Position
Hartford Hospital is one of the largest and most respected teaching hospitals in New England, serving as a Level 1 Trauma Center that provides cutting-edge treatment to its patients. The North 8, Women's Health unit is a 27-bed surgical unit that caters to the unique needs of women, primarily caring for patients recovering from gynecological, uro-gynocology, and gyn/onc procedures, as well as plastic surgery and abdominal procedures. The unit also cares for stable obstetrical patients, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum women whose newborns are in the NICU. The Patient Care Tech role involves supporting patient care through direct and indirect activities essential for a safe and efficient care environment. This position requires flexibility in scheduling and offers opportunities for career advancement through a clinical ladder based on experience, skillsets, and certifications held.
