About The Position
This position is located at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. 5 West is a 26-bed medical surgical unit with a specialty focus in the medical treatment and recovery of those with complex IV drug related infections that require up to six weeks of medical recovery. The unit is often referenced as, "The Hope Unit" by the patients. As a nurse you will be part of a special multi-disciplinary team of therapists, physicians who specialize in additions, peer recovery specialists, psychiatric technicians, and many others who are passionate about helping in the recovery of patients who have often lost hope for the future. This position is full time, working 7p-7a with every other weekend and rotating holidays. This position is eligible for a $3,000.00 sign-on bonus when successful candidate meets applicable guidelines. Successful candidate MUST BE able to attend required orientation classes during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm for the first 2 weeks. These classes are mandatory!
