About The Position

The Patient Care Tech at Hannibal Regional Hospital plays a crucial role in providing support to nursing staff and ensuring quality patient care in the Medical Telemetry unit. This position is PRN (as needed) and requires flexibility in scheduling to meet the demands of the hospital.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active CNA certification or Medical Assistant associates degree (diploma will be considered)
• Enrolled in an approved nursing program and has or will complete fundamentals of nursing course within 90 days of hire
• Documented experience as a nurse assistant or emergency medical technician required
• Demonstrates effective communication skills, including verbal and written
• Ability to communicate within all levels of the organization
• Exhibits hospital values in performance of all duties and contact with patients and visitors
• Ability to organize and perform multiple assignments and priorities while maintaining quality patient care
• Ability to perform basic computer skills efficiently and effectively
• BLS certification required
• Professional appearance required
