About The Position

Join Our Dynamic Med-Surg Team at Piedmont Walton Our 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit offers a fast-paced, hands-on environment caring for a wide range of adult patients, including those with orthopedic needs, general and bariatric surgeries, cardiac/telemetry monitoring, and complex medical conditions. RN-to-patient ratios typically range from 1:5-6 and PCTs from 1:6-9, allowing for meaningful, team-based patient care. Nurses and PCTs may also float to assist with needs across the hospital, making this a great opportunity for well-rounded clinical growth and collaboration.

Requirements

• Education H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
• No experience required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of patient care experience Preferred
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred
• Certification from a Patient Care Technician program Preferred

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy.
