Patient Care Tech - SS Mother Baby
About The Position
Patient Care Techs (PCTs) provide personal care, health-related services, and assist with activities of daily living. PCTs function under the direction, instruction, and supervision of nursing staff. PCTs have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys, improvement initiatives, and continuing education. PCTs provide care for primarily adult patients who require cardiac monitoring. They attend to those who are being treated to manage illness and/or recovering from a procedure or surgical intervention. Intermediate Care PCTs provide care to primarily adult patients that require cardiac monitoring or are recovering from a procedure or surgical intervention.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent
- No previous experience
- BCLS or Heartsaver
- Certified Nurse Aide
- Input data into computer programs
- Maintain professional appearance at all times
- Ability to work with therapeutic equipment
- Ability to handle confidential information
