About The Position

A Patient Care Tech (PCT) at ProMedica plays a vital role in the health and safety of patients every day. PCTs assist all members of the ProMedica health care team by caring for patients, performing clerical services, and complying with standards, procedures, and policies. They act as ambassadors for ProMedica, interacting with patients, visitors, and co-workers. PCTs assist the patient care team with exams, procedures, obtaining patient data, and other direct patient care processes. They also ensure an appropriate stock of supplies and equipment is available and functioning properly. Responsibilities include scheduling procedures, coordinating admission, discharge, and transfer processes, answering phones, taking messages, directing calls, and picking up and delivering specimens, documents, and other items to contribute to operational efficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Basic math skills
Ability to read and write
Ability to communicate or respond to inquiries
CPR certification prior to performing direct care (training provided)
