About The Position

Seeking to hire an enthusiastic Patient Care Tech into our lively and quick paced Rheumatology clinic. In this role, you will be rooming patients, updating patient charts, taking vitals, performing point of care testing, administering vaccines, pre-visit planning, ordering and stocking supplies and more! This position is great for anyone looking to expand their medical knowledge and background and work as a team player. The Patient Care Tech (PCT) functions as a member of the team to support patient care which may include the Tele-Companion, and Tele-Tech programs. They are responsible for the more complex personal patient care duties such as supporting diagnostic procedures, assisting with technical nursing treatments, patient charting, and patient instruction. All of these activities require direct work relationships with patients and participation as a member of the nursing care team in direct services to patients. The Tele-Companion is responsible for the safety of a patient admitted to the hospital because of physiologic, mental and/or behavioral limitations that are deemed at risk for additional self-injury. Tele-Tech responsibilities include coordinating availability of telemetry transmitters, lead cables and other monitoring supplies and applying electrocardiography leads. Ambulatory Patient Care Tech responsibilities may also include but are not limited to performance of chart review, pre-visit planning, patient intake, production and management of schedule tracking and referral reports, scheduling of patient appointments, referrals, prodedures, and lab tests, coordination of the prescription assistance program, and patient pre and prior-authorization. Patient Care Techs must have excellent analytical and technical skills, must be detail oriented, and demonstrate adaptability to change based on evidence-based practice. Patient care techs will function in alignment with Bozeman Health duties and delegation policies.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
American Heart Association BLS
Excellent analytical and technical skills

Nice To Haves

Completing Safety Companion/TeleCompanion competency and training where applicable
Utilizing Standard Precautions in caring for all patients
Providing for patient safety
Maintaining and promoting patient satisfaction
Performing basic nursing care with dignity and respect
Collecting and documenting patient information including but not limited to, vital signs, height, and weight, in the patient electronic health record
Ordering necessary supplies
Performing designated basic treatments and procedures as specific to work area
Performing additional role-appropriate skills following training and demonstrated competence
