About The Position

Responsible for performing assigned patient care activities and assisting licensed nursing personnel. Under the direct supervision of the Patient Care Manager or designee, responsible for assigned areas on 1 shift. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call-back as required by facility.

Requirements

Skills and proficiency in oral and written grammar, communication, and basic mathematics as acquired through official completion of high school or its equivalent.
Ability to perform support activities in patient care as acquired through completion of an approved Vo-Tech program and certified as a Nurse Aide through the Office of Long Term Care or after completion of a minimum of one semester of an RN/LPN program with a nursing skills checklist completed by their nursing instructor.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an approved program to utilize the RN/LPN Nursing Student Skills Checklist.
A year of PCT experience within the acute care setting will be considered in lieu of formal training.
Knowledge of patient care technician practices and related patient care activities and hospital policies and procedures as acquired through on-the-job training.
Knowledge of basic non-technical skills as acquired through on-the-job training.
