About The Position
The Patient Care Tech assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient. This role also serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants & PCT’s and requires cross-training to Unit Associate or Monitor Technician. The PCT assists with maintaining a safe and clean unit environment and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Graduation or Equivalent and Nursing Assistant Course Work
- Nursing Assistant Certification
- Basic Life Support (Basic EKG)
- If cross trained as a Monitor Technician (GSMC EKG test required)
- Successful completion of GSMC EKG test
- CPI due within 30 days of hire/transfer
- Certified Medical Assistant or 1 year CNA experience
