Patient Care Tech - Samaritan Hospital - Observation ED Overflow - FT Nights
About The Position
This is a Full Time Nights position for a Patient Care Tech at Samaritan Hospital, specifically in the Observation Unit/Emergency Overflow. The role requires 3 -12 hour shifts with rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The position offers hands-on patient care experience within a state-of-the-art new facility. The Patient Care Tech will perform a variety of direct and indirect patient care tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to do heavy lifting, pushing, pulling and standing for long hours
- Completion of 1 week SPHP PCT training program and unit specific competencies
- Ability to do PCT training for 5 days (Monday - Friday) from 7A-3P
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding and ambulation
- Taking vitals, patient care documentation
- Managing supplies
