About The Position
At AdventHealth Central Texas, our primary customers are patients and families. Our partners are physicians, and our team members are all employees of AdventHealth Central Texas. The Patient Care Tech works under supervision of the professional nurse, assisting in performing specific duties and activities of daily living in caring for age specific groups identified in the position responsibilities. Adheres to the AdventHealth Central Texas Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Current Texas Certified Nurses Aide OR
- Graduate of an approved Hospital specific PCT Training Program
- Basic Life Support Certification
Nice To Haves
- Two (2 ) years of previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience preferred.
- Successful completion of Monitor/Telemetry Course (Monitor Tech class).
Responsibilities
- Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse
- Accurately performs vital signs and documents in the electronic medical record
- Documents and reports all procedures accurately and in accordance with department policy.
- Perform duties and patient care according to policy and procedure.
