About The Position

The Patient Care Tech plays a crucial role in providing daily care activities to support the patient care plan as directed by the Registered Professional Nurse. This part-time position involves working in the Emergency Department at Crouse Hospital, focusing on patient care in an acute care setting.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Aid program or fundamentals of nursing coursework with clinical rotation.
• Minimum of 1 year of patient care experience in an acute care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two weeks after hire.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a phlebotomy course.
• 2 years of patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily care activities to assist in achieving the goals of the patient care plan.
• Support the Registered Professional Nurse in delivering patient care.
• Assist with basic patient needs and monitor patient conditions.
• Document patient care activities and report any changes to the nursing staff.
