A non-certified employee who will function under the direction of an RN, LPN, physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant. Duties could include escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining and documenting vital signs, obtaining EKGs, performing phlebotomy duties, cleaning exam rooms, and other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager or clinical lead. This position is involved in a team-based approach to care. Team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to coordinate care for patients and participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation.
