About The Position

The purpose of this position is to augment the imaging department staff in and around imaging procedures. These duties will be under direct oversight by imaging leadership. The responsibility is to assist with patient care as it relates to patient transport, optimization of exam performance, patient safety, patient experience and department workflow. Duties include transporting Inpatients and ER patients to and from department, assisting with the safe transfer of patients on and off imaging equipment, assisting with outpatient workflows(assisting patients to and from waiting room to changing room and exam room, assisting with portable exams and other support duties as needed.

Requirements

• BLS - Basic Life Support
• PCT: MMH PCT/CNA/EMT/LPN Certification
• FINGERPRIN - Fingerprinting
• TEAM ADVANCED - Techniques for Effective Aggression Mgt
• High School Diploma or GED
• Computer knowledge required.
• Ability to communicate successfully with patients, family and staff required.
• Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training must also be completed annually according to the Exposure Control Plan.
• Organizational skills/computer skills required, ability to prioritize preferred.
• Quality customer service skills required, excellent customer relation skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport ER patients and inpatients to and from the radiology department. Assist in safely transferring patients on and off imaging tables.
• Stage and prep inpatients and outpatients for imaging procedures, dispatch and prioritize runs based on acuity, utilize good communication skills and all relevant Epic applications, assist patients to and from imaging rooms, setting up rooms for procedures, triaging phone calls and providing all patient care duties within the scope of practice.
