The Patient Care Technician (PCT) Training Program at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is an 11-week accelerated training initiative designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills to provide direct patient care. This program combines classroom instruction, hands-on skill labs, and on-the-job training, fulfilling the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services requirements for Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP). Participants will be employed as PCTs during the training period and are expected to commit to a minimum of one year of employment at the hospital upon completion.
