About The Position
The Patient Care Tech (PCT) provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to the personal needs and comfort of patients, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role assists professional or licensed nurses with tasks that require less technical skills. The PCT is expected to participate in shift and bedside reports and support regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors and health care team members
- Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique and infection control best practices
- Education: High School Diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT Certificate
- EKG training in selected units
- Certifications/Licensure: CPR
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
- CNA/LNA from the Arizona State Board of Nursing
Responsibilities
