Provide care as directed to achieve desired patient outcomes for patients newborn thru geriatric. Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values. Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public. General Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned. People Management Responsibilities: Does this position have people management responsibilities?: Yes x No “Yes” indicates that this position entails overseeing and guiding team members, encompassing employment decisions and/or suggestions, as well as conducting formal performance assessments. "No" indicates that this position does not involve managing team members. Minimum Qualifications: Required Education and Experience Certification as an MA, CNA, EMT, or HHA in the state of Kansas OR at least one semester of Nursing School Required License/Certifications/Registrations Current BLS/CPR card prior to participating in patient care activities. Successful completion of on the job training for sterile technique, maintenance of sterile field and instrument care/handling (Obstetrics and Surgery) Successful completion of on the job EKG and phlebotomy training (Emergency) Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Education and Experience Previous exposure to a medical environment. Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations Certification as a MA, CNA, EMT, or HHA in the state of Kansas Phlebotomy Technician PBT (ASCP) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic computer skills. Moderate computer skills required for Telesitter. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Basic knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Possess compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. Physical Requirements: With or without accommodation. Very Heavy Work: Occasionally exerting greater than 100 lbs - constantly exerting up to 50 lbs. 75-100% of the day may be standing or walking. Requirements
