Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT: Responsibilities Patient Care Technicians work alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare environments. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery setting, often having more patient contact than any other team member, including doctors and nurses.
Requirements
- 1+ years' patient care experience.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
