BJC is offering a Patient Care Tech (PCT) Academy! This is a paid 6-week accelerated training program which combines classroom instruction, hands-on skill labs and on-the-job training in a clinical practice. The training satisfies the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services requirements for Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP). Training will begin April 6, 2026! Weeks 1-3: M-F: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Weeks 4-6: (3) 12-hour clinical shifts PLEASE NOTE: CURRENT BJC EMPLOYEES MUST BE IN CURRENT POSITION FOR 3 MONTHS TO BE ELIGIBLE Program Highlights: Individuals selected for the program will be employed as PCTs during training. Role Purpose Provides direct patient care to support the licensed professional nurses responsible for a team of patients to ensure a safe environment for patients by reducing risk of harm. Collects vital information on the patient and reports such to the nursing team which contributes to the overall assessment of each patient and any changes to a patient's condition.
