About The Position

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. Full Time, Days POSITION SUMMARY Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs, and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays, provide for between-meal nourishment, and clean, sterilize, store, and prepare other supplies. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Requirements

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Required- High School Diploma or GED
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Required-None
• REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) if American Red Cross, must obtain American Heart Association within 60-days of hire
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification within 90-days of hire/transfer
• REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES: Ability to use computer driven patient care equipment

Nice To Haves

• Preferred-Acute care and/or previous clinical experience
• Preferred: Prior basic experience performing clerical or customer service duties with prior HUC training/experience in a clinical setting

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision and guidance of a RN, demonstrates knowledge of care and differentiates abnormal conditions; accurately documents vital signs, intake and output and reports deviations from normal to the nurse in a timely manner
• Under the supervision and guidance of a RN, performs all responsibilities/duties required under the defined scope of service to assure the unique nature of the client is addressed to include but not limited to the age of the client served
• Institutes and initiates a plan of care for patient based on the initial assessment within the shift, documents; implements and continuously evaluates interventions; reassesses patient needs on an on-going basis as required per unit or procedure
• Performs all relevant duties to include but not limited to preparation of units and duties associated with patient room and beds for receiving patient admissions, returning or outgoing surgical patients, transfers and discharges without reminders
• Demonstrates ability to care for patients with an ostomy, diabetic patient, patient with impaired skin integrity, bariatric patient, and perform peri car
