Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Enrolled in final year of nursing program or PCT will be trained and required to show competence in these skills while on the unit.
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a PCT (Certified Care Technician) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant).
- Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy.
Responsibilities
- The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a highly skilled healthcare professional responsible for providing advanced patient care under the supervision of nurses and medical staff.
- This role involves direct patient interaction, assisting with medical procedures, obtains and records patients' vital signs, and ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients.
