Requirements

Minimum 6 months in an acute care hospital setting
Prior experience in performing EKG and phlebotomy procedures
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent
Patient care or EKG and phlebotomy certificate
Cardiac Credentialing International Certification

Responsibilities

Patient Care Technician works alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare environments.
