Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in healthcare setting in a patient care position.
Responsibilities
- Implements environmental service techniques specific to a Surgical Services environment.
- Identifies patients prior to transporting in accordance with policy.
- Adheres to surgical services dress code.
- Assists in the positioning of the surgical patient.
- Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors, and associates when utilizing chemical germicides and disinfectants.
- Demonstrates care in handling, transporting, and processing instruments.
- Demonstrates competency in operating transport equipment.
- Adheres to standard precautions.
- Maintains cleanliness of department, refrigerators, autoclaves, warmers, etc.
- Maintains PAR levels on e-cylinders and regulators (oxygen and CO2).
- Maintains supply and equipment areas in an orderly fashion.
