About The Position

The Patient Care Tech position at Piedmont Fayette NICU primarily functions as a Department Assistant and/or Milk Prep Tech. Daily duties include greeting families with a warm and welcoming attitude, teaching families visitation rules and scrubbing technique, and performing clerical duties. The biggest part of the job is as a breast milk prep technician. Good math skills are a must, along with the ability to clean equipment and stock supplies. Prioritization and critical thinking are critical skills for this role. This position does not involve hands-on patient care.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Entry level experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Certification from a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician program preferred
• One year of patient care experience preferred

Responsibilities
