About The Position

Requirements

• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient care needs by answering call lights and assisting with hygiene care.
• Obtain and document vital signs.
• Communicate effectively with the care team.
• Perform 12-lead EKG duties as trained.
• Apply and document restraints as directed by RN or physician.
• Perform wound care, stoma care, and specimen collection.
• Manage equipment and tube care, including JPs, hemovacs, and nasogastric tubes.
• Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges safely.
• Order and maintain office and patient care supplies.
• Perform unit secretary duties, including maintaining patient charts and responding to phone calls.
