Requirements

• CNA certification required.
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
• Six months of hospital experience required.
• Must be 16 years old or older.
• Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN.
• Provide and document care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
• Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
• Demonstrate the ability to meet the department work schedule.
• Demonstrate initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
• Team members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment.
