Patient Care Tech I
About The Position
The PCT I provides compassionate patient care to a diverse age group of patients with a variety of medical and/or surgical conditions. This individual provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with other patient care team members including the patient and family, to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The PCT I assists with activities of daily living and delegated patient care treatments and procedures. The PCT I has access to confidential patient information, and carries out their assignments under the guidance of a licensed nurse. The Nursing Assistant/Unit Secretary also works as a Unit Secretary when requested.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- SC Nurse Aide Certification OR passed fundamentals in RN/LPN school OR completed Surg Tech or EMT course OR completed 2-year Health Science Technology Program OR completed Patient Care Tech course OR successfully completed a PCT program at SRH, OR Graduate of an accredited nursing assistant program, certification eligible. Must achieve certification within 3 months of hire.
- BLS certified.
Nice To Haves
- Prefer at least 2 years of CNA experience.
- Basic computer skills.
