About The Position

Patient Care Tech I – PCT - Oncology Ambulatory Services Limited Hours – Day Shift – 20 hours The Ambulatory Oncology Infusion Clinics provides both standard of care and research chemotherapy/immunotherapy, supportive care infusions, and clinical interventions for hematologic and solid tumor malignancies. Other performance and patient outcome services include nurse telephone triage, discharge planning, care coordination, ambulatory clinical evaluation, and advanced drug preparation. Registered Nurses (RNs) care for patients with solid tumor diagnosis in the Viragh Building and patients with hematologic malignancies in the Weinberg Building. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
  • One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered.
  • BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
  • Authorization to Work in the United States: Applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position.
