About The Position

Patient Care Tech I – PCT I – Prep / PACU Full time - Day shift – 40 hours -hours for this role are 6:00am - 2:30pm The Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Zayed 3 Preoperative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (Prep/PACU) is a 43-bed unit that provides services to patients undergoing surgery and interventional radiology procedures such as cervical decompression fixation/fusion, open reduction internal fixation, microvascular decompression, kidney transplant, craniectomy, cerebral arteriogram, Intercranial embolization, and trans arterial chemoembolization. Our unit supports the care provided in 14 operating rooms, 8 interventional radiology rooms, and 2 CT rooms. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered.
Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement are essential skills that are required for this position.
BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
