About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) role at Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital is a full-time evening position focused on providing individualized and compassionate care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The PCT is responsible for attending to the personal needs and comfort of patients, assisting nurses with delegated tasks, and ensuring the efficient operation of the unit. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Ability to complete blood draws independently.
• Completion of EKG training in selected units.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in an acute care setting.
• CNA/LNA certification from the Arizona State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, culture-specific patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist professional or licensed nurses with tasks requiring less technical skills as delegated.
• Participate in shift and bedside report to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform phlebotomy duties as required.
• Handle clerical and reception duties as assigned to maintain an organized unit.
• Support regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives.
