About The Position

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. Requirements

• Reading and numerical competency.
• Must possess competency in use of technology and computers.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate basic caregiving skills and essential job functions.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation or upon transfer.
• Must successfully complete 'Handle with Care' within 6 months of hire/transfer, and annually thereafter.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of a licensed nurse to assist in meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients in a professional and timely manner.
• Performs various tasks as competency documentation designates.
• Provides direct care with limited invasive procedures.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
