About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) position at Elmhurst Hospital is a full-time role focused on providing critical care during night shifts. The PCT will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and will be responsible for performing various patient care tasks and procedures to ensure the comfort and safety of patients. The role requires working rotating holidays and weekends, but does not involve any travel.

Requirements

  • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Associates or American Red Cross.
  • Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or a minimum of six months of previous patient care experience.
  • Completion of one nursing clinical rotation.
  • Successful completion of the Care Companion Course within six months of hire if required by the department.
