The Patient Care Technician functions as a clinical support partner, assisting the patient care team by performing various tasks and procedures as instructed by a licensed professional. Additionally, the Patient Care Technician may assume the responsibilities of a Health Unit Coordinator. This is a full-time night shift position. The unit specializes in caring for patients who undergo orthopedic surgeries as well as emergent ortho traumas. They also specialize in plastic surgeries such as finger reattachment with leech therapy and care for patients post chemotherapy for breast reconstruction, offering a variety of patient experiences and learning opportunities.
