This position may function as both a Patient Care Tech (PCT) and Health Unit Coordinator (HUC). A Patient Care Tech functions as a clinical support partner assisting the patient care team by performing various tasks and procedures as instructed by a licensed professional. A Health Unit Coordinator, under the direction of nursing leadership, facilitates unit organization and patient care by assisting in the coordination of patient, nursing, physician and other health care provider office and clerical activities. Unit Description: We specialize in caring for cancer patients. This can include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, post-chemotherapy illness, or even end-of-life care. We also care for a full spectrum of medical issues, including diabetic complications, infectious diseases, electrolyte imbalances, gastroenterological, respiratory, cardiac, kidney, and liver complications. We care for a diverse population of patients where you will learn something new daily.
