About The Position

The Patient Care Tech position at Evanston Hospital involves providing essential support in a clinical environment, specifically in the Cardiac/Tele/Stroke unit. This part-time role requires 16 hours of work per week during day shifts from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with rotating weekends. The position demands a high level of attention and manual dexterity, as well as the ability to work under pressure to meet patient care needs. The role includes responsibilities such as patient assessment, charting, and assisting with patient movement and transfers, while adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment.

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the US.
  • Completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (CNA) training course preferred.
  • Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork and the ability to prioritize tasks.
