About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Supervises Cardiac Cath Lab department. Generates planning, scheduling, implementing and evaluating operations of these departments. Ensures the provision of high quality patient care services and processes in accordance with Medical Center and regulatory requirements. Ensures adequate staffing coverage for a fluctuating patient census. Supports department operations and development, implementation, and administration of patient care services to achieve the departments’ vision and goals. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to manage patient care services appropriate to the ages of patients served. Assists with financial, capital and human resources to ensure services meet established quality and productivity standards, and implements corrective action as necessary. Develops, implements, and ensures adherence to policies and procedures in order to ensure compliance with Medical Center and third-party requirements for patient care and confidential patient information. Assists with the development of implementing and administering new patient care services in order to achieve fiscal year business plans.

Requirements

BSN required from accredited School of Nursing.
Current Illinois Nursing Licensure.
ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
CPR certified.
Approximately three to five years progressively more responsible experience in supervisory capacity.
May be required to sign up for on-call coverage when the need arises.
